Celebrating 5 Years of Impact

United Nations Sustainable
Development Goals

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are calls to action outlined by the United Nations that aim to improve the lives of everyone around the world and promote the protection of the environment. These goals guide the design of community initiatives, including those led by Human Nature Projects (HNP) Canada. Over these past five years, our initiatives have aligned with the following SDGs:

SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being

HNP Canada’s community cleanups, invasive species removals, and tree planting events create healthier and safer public spaces, supporting both physical and mental well-being.

SDG 4: Quality Education

Through webinars, symposiums, and the Youth Environmental Advocacy Fellowship, HNP Canada increases environmental literacy and equips youth with skills to take meaningful climate action.

SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation

Workshops like Water Contamination and Human Health raise awareness about water pollution and encourage sustainable water practices.

SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities

Programs are designed to be inclusive, engaging youth from diverse backgrounds, including Indigenous and international participants.

SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities

Tree plantings, pollinator gardens, and cleanups strengthen community resilience and improve urban green spaces.

SDG 13: Climate Action

All initiatives encourage climate action, inspiring youth to reduce environmental impacts and foster sustainable practices locally and globally.
